Competition Targets

Postby Roboslug on Sat Jul 18, 2009 12:02 am

Has anyone else had trouble getting competition targets out of ASSA? They don't response to emails & phone calls these days.

Usual turnaround time is 5 working days for anything ordered from ASSA. We have a fulfillment Co. that is supposed to be on top of things like this. Will check on open orders Monday, and get out any that are in the "Out Bin"
We do monitor order processing as closely as time permits. If we've failed you on this, we'll make it right, ASAP.

Targets arrived! Thanks for your help. I like the grayscale target, less distracting than the yellow.

We get ours by email, scan the shot ones and email back. Works OK for our club shoots, since waiting for the mail could be a 3 week deal, but somebody at ASSA has this hangup about Rangemaster signoffs, and the gunny at our "range" won't let us shoot at civilian targets, so we have to go out back and use the honor system. Looking forward to rotating back so I can get into the free gun shoots. I could use half a dozen new slug guns.............

I can imagine the "stuff" ASSA gets when competition is tight. It would be difficult to make the call as far as possible falsified targets. The idea of this was to keep it simple I'm sure. Maybe ASSA would impose more verification of the rangemaster be it copy of a drivers license and a form from the range itself?

Simple system for the offshore contests, everything is email, scanned full scale and made into a PDF that can't get altered. We get a squad leader to sign off when we're missing a Range Officer, and make it an Honor call. Kind of a big deal, for us in the Corps. So far, nobody's ever questioned our targets, or had any remarks to make about them. (Except some Seals who thought they should have scored higher than us, but you know Seals......all Hollywoody and such. )
